Users can book Ola rides both online and offline. Ola also has a feature where users can book a cab/auto/bike for someone else. To book online, users have to first download the Ola App. After creating an account, and setting it up, users are ready to book their first ride.
To start your ride, simply select the pick up location (or enable location access) and enter the drop location as well. You can select which type of cab you want to ride. Users can also book a cab in advance and schedule to ride it later.
Once you select ‘Ride Now’, you will be connected to cabs in the area and get confirmation when your cab has been selected. You will be given access to the driver’s details and their location.
To book offline, you go to the Ola App and select the ‘Book A Ride Offline’ or ‘Book a Ride Through SMS’. Ola will automatically redirect you to your Messages app and within seconds you will receive confirmation and details of your ride via SMS.
Ola has a ‘Refer and Earn’ feature for their users that allows them to refer other people to the app and reap the benefits! By using the Ola Referral Code, users can earn Rs.50 for every successful referral. The person being referred will also receive discounted cab fares and Ola Free Rides.
